B. What is our family hoping to do with it?
C. Why in the world would Jim and Adele embark on this endeavor in their 50s?
The very short answers:
A. The N Lazy A Ranch is a 140-acre (ca. 49-hec.) piece of paradise in the NE corner of the state of Washington. Each of our five family units has at least one 20-acre parcel.
B. Some family members plan to live there year-round, and some plan to come for weekends and vacations. We’d like to raise much of the extended family’s food while providing a wholesome environment for the younger generation of family members.
C. We (Jim and Adele) are facilitating a future for our children and grandchildren. By ourselves we would have retired on 10 or 20 acres with fewer projects. But this way we get to participate in the development of a lifestyle that our children desire for their families.
